AFR's LT1 styled heads stop at the 180's I believe. Their 195's and up are LT4 styled.
I paid $1950 from Lloyd for my TFS heads to be ported, valvetrain setup, custom cam from BRE, and LT4 manifold porting.
ProjectZ28.......Would you be interested in comparing heads??? My TFS are hand ported by LE, and I don't have them on my motor yet, so it would be no problem for me to snag one to bring along. They're pretty similar to yours, 218CC's on the runner and 59CC's on the chamber (measured by shop building my motor here) but the flow numbers you mentioned are killing mine. I'd love to have a look at your heads just for curiousities sake.

if you want to compare now would be the time since mine are not on the car yet either.
Yes AFR makes a 220 cc head also but I belive once you step up to that level with AFR you need to run offset rockers because AFR moved the valves. Honestly the AFR heads are just plain old technology. Those heads have been around for years and haven been updated, TFS has addressed some of the issue and I belive they have produced a better head.
Rumor I heard was that AFR heads are on back order because they are currently working on a new 23* head and they stopped casting the old ones. But thats just rumor that I heard. Either way you wont get your hands on a set any time soon unless you find somone who has a set sitting on the shelf.
My heads do flow pretty well. Thats one of the reasons I went with another company. Not knocking Lloyd at all, he does some kick *** stuff with LT style heads... making more power and getting better numbers than alot of people out there. But I had to make a choice and I went with somone else because of results I have seen from their products. Lloyd has some great results with his stuff too... it wasnt an easy decision.
My heads are set up like this. 220 cc's CNC ported. Hand blended, 63cc chambers. 2.08 intake/1.625 exhaust valves. Multi angle racing style valve job, springs are set up at 1.950 installed height, 235# on the seat and #575 open. Good for .700 lift. My machinist was pretty impressed with the heads. I left them with him so he could check fitment on the block. The chambers lined up with the 4.030 bore really well. no need to back cut the block or anything.
I figure that even if those flow numbers were off a bit... at a 10% error margin (which would be huge) the heads are in reality still flowing 290+cfm. Which is still outstanding. I belive the numbers I have though, judging from results of other work they have done. Their LS1 style heads are some of the best on the market. Brian Tooley has been in the buisness and porting heads for a long time. They actually moved shop to Ohio and are only a few blocks down the street from TFS now. I dont think I made a bad choice, and I dont think I would have made a bad choice had I gone with Lloyd either. Both have outstanding results. Not an easy choice.

oh, and the only bad part I have found is that you end up in the same boat I am in. I still need an LT4 manifold. Or have an LT1 manifold converted. Lloyd still seems to be one of the only ones out there doing that. Not too many people are intrested in trying to convert a LT1 to fit a LT4 style head.
what are you doing for an intake?

Fastbird93 has an LT4 style intake.
I on the other hand will be keeping my LT1 style intake. What set of TFS heads would be best for my car and still keep my intake?

Call911 hit it (heck, he's seen the dang thing). I picked up a brand new LT4 manifold in Feb of this year for $600 off a board member here.
Project, FWIW I had my heads independently flowed here in Sicklerville, and the numbers were right on par with Lloyd's, and actually a touch higher. Not that it means much but at .600 they were flowing 305 and 224, saw it with my own eyes.
Sending you a PM about getting together to do the comparo Project.
