i was wondering when/how often i should adjust my rr's? i have pro mags 1.6 rr's.

also i was wondering if i need to worry about the rr's hitting directly in the center of the valve and how to know if it is hitting the valve properly. i think i read somewhere about marking the valve with a marker and paying attention to where the rocker rubs the marker off and adjusting it. but i can't find that mag. any help or info would be great. thanks!

 

The marker technique you are referring to is for checking the pushrod length. You have the GM guideplates correct? They hold the pushrods in the correct position throughout the pushrod travel. A visual inspection should be adequate.

They should only need adjusting once, but may loosen up after the first few miles if there were any burrs preventing perfect contact the first time. Then they need to be done a second time if they loosen up. After that, they should be good.

I'm fairly sure that you can find the marker technique that you are referring to on Comp Cams website. www.compcams.com It would be in the pushrod section, for instructions.
