When going from 7mm to 8mm plug wires

Should you also change out the wire that goes from the coil to the opti?

I did. My Taylor OVC wire kit came with the boots for all plug wires going to the opti as well as the opti to coil wire along with a small wire you can cut and plug in. So I say yeah whatever you get, replace that wire too. My $.02

Alright, I have the Taylor OVC wires also. But I bought them used and didn't think to ask him about the wire that went from the coil to opti.

Thanks!

No problem. If you really needed to (I did this), just use a spare section of wire and cut it to length for the coil-opti since its so short.
