Wheel Bearing's.....WTF??????????
Alright, for awhile now I've thought that this constant road noise was my tires, now, and after my friends opinions riding with me, we are almost sure its the one of the rear wheel bearings, if not both. WTF is the deal, I've already had to buy both of the front wheel bearings new and now the back? All within a 10,000mi period, i dont understand this ****. How expensive are the back to replace, should'nt they be cheap since its a solid rear axle? Is it possible I could change them myself or do they need to be pressed in with a tool or something? Anyone else have these wheel bearing problems?
It's pretty unusual for those to go, in my experience. They are not as easy as all that to replace either. Got to pull the axels out, and replace seals at the ame time. Not really hard, but it helps to have a bit of experience on this job.
has no one else experienced these problems?? This is really weird.......
Any idea what the parts alone would cost for the back two bearing's, problem just 25 bucks maybe? Wonder how bad labor would be?

How many miles were on the car? and how soon apart did they fail?
This is ****ing BULLSHlT, I had a truck with like 200k original mi, with all 4 perfect wheel bearings, this is bull****, no way im replcing 4 wheel bearing within 15k mi, at only 90k total.

High performance cars driven in high performance applications will require more maintenance than your avg. daily driver. That said, I still sya it would be somewhat unusual for all 4 bearings to be gone and most unusual for the rears to be gone. I'm not surprised that the fronts were gone, however, since they are more prone to failure than others.
It could be one or more tires with uneven wear, as a result of being out of balance. Those will howl like the dickens.

If you do decide to have someone do it for you, have them rebuild the rear and consider changing gears- cost effective to do it when it's open...
Yeah I understand the maintenance thing, its just I would be more happy if the waterpump or alternater died then the wheel bearings, it just that kinda freaky sucks.....I would totally understand if the opti died, but wheel bearings, give me a break.....oh well. When I bought the car I had the shop put on brand new Monarch HP's(sucks), then about 4k mi ago, I bought 4 brand new Firestone SZ50ep's, so I dont think there's any problems there, I've already rotated these tires to see if it would stop the noise and it did nothing
. Whats the best way to test for sure if its the bearings? Also does anyone have any kinda quote on replacement costs?

Usually when the noise varies when you turn its either a front bearing or a brake related noise. When my front bearings were going they just sounded like real loud tire noise, but at any speed and the sounded changed pitch between turning left and going right, I believe the rule is if you only here the sound turning left, then its the right bearing, because you are unloaded the left, or something like that. But the problems i'am having with the back now are just sounds like really loud tire noise......
