Re: Whats your stock time?

1994 Z28 6spd Bone Stock with Nittos, ran a best of 13.7 @ 106. 164,000 miles on the engine. She's a freak. Still running strong at over 180,000 miles. I've been putting off my 383 rebuild for almost 2 years cause the damn thing won't die. She chomps a little oil, but thats it.

383 will be installed in March

Edit: I forgot to add that the time listed above includes a tune from Madwolf.

Is it just me or do the A4s seem to run better times?

I'd say they have better reaction times and more consistent, but if driven correctly, nope. For the most part the average will be in the favor of the A4 due to crappy stick drivers.

Re: Whats your stock time?

I have read many posts around here where they say that A4's actually run better times than stick cars do because the launching is much easier so YEAH I guess it is the crappy drivers...

Re: Whats your stock time?

I have yet to run the engine/trans myself but the donor car owner had slips for 13.9 at the local drack in the desert of west texas. It was a Black 94 Z28 M6.

Re: Whats your stock time?

14.0 @ 101
It had headers on it though so it wasn't completely stock. I had the headers on before I ever started it for the first time. Those manifolds were hideous.

Your SS should be good for somewhere around there...In the LT1 model SS's do seem to perform better. I ran a 14.0 once I got my launch down w/ a fipk on my 97 273

its all in the driver. the a4 "usually' gets better 60 fts so that is a huge help to the et. but then again its all in the driver, give them both stickies and see what happens.

the 6spd will get a higher mph everytime.
