I, too, have that cam, and with the fresh motor, I got 12mpg on the last tank! It was all city driving, with some lead foot action, but not alot.
(Prior to the rebuild I was getting ~18mpg.)

I have made some more changes to the pcm and am waiting for the miles to elapse to get new numbers. My trip odometer bit the dust and I did not get to track my last tank that I was hoping to be better. I was able to fix it today (just got through) and hopefully it will work for a while longer.
with 40 PSI, i can get 290 - 310 miles mix freeway and city. if i go on a road trip (100% freeway) i usually get around 320-340 per full tank, which is not bad for an auto. i think
last time i went to san diego which is about 100 miles each way. i got 310 miles, that include about 220 miles freeway, and and the rest are 4 times 5-7 second each 75 nitrous shots, also a couple of WOT's without nitrous, and mostly city drive.

I think a 6 speed/auto and gears are also factors. You';d think an M6 car with 2.73s or so would get great mileage on the highway. I know my 93 z28 that had an m6 and 2.73s would go 70 at barely over 1000rpms.

My rpm's are about 1800 at 80 mph, and about 1600 rpm at 70 mph.
At 100 mph I'm at about 2200 rpm.

I'm normally doing about 80.

93's had totally different rear-ends and gearing in the trans I think.
Dan
my car got about 30 MPG on my way from VA to TX, but that is all highway at 70-75 with no funny business, the #1 impact on economy is the way you drive it. I drive much more conservatively than most people my age(20) but all that conservation goes out the window if some guy in a ricer or 5.slow starts eyeballing me at stoplights
They also had the non performance package F-bodies after 93..
My buddy had a 94 or 95 that had crank windows,no power locks, and had a speed limiter of 105 or 106 i think..
The guy that sold it to him said if the car wasn't ordered with Z rated tires then it would have a non performance package..His car also had 3.08 gears and was a M6..
They called them baby Z's..lol..
That car was a TOTAL POS..It had alot of BS problems while he had it..
glad he sold it..
