oh yeah, I must have mis read something, if its always at 230, then yeah something isnt right, should do as stated above.

Word of advise, dont waste your money on a Hypertech Programmer. Go out and get LT1 edit instead, you'll probably be bale to pick it up for less $$$ than what the Hypertech costs.

As for the problem, it really does sound like your opti. Dont worry though,it really isnt hard to replace.

i ment it was normal for it to heat up at the stop light, it usually runs 215 or so when driving on the freeway (ever since i got my catalatic converter changed the temp went up from about 195 freeway temp to 215 :'()

but i ordered my opti from autozone and it wasnt the whole thing, i guess it wasnt w/ cap and rotor...

can i rebuild it persay or should i return it and try to get the whole thing?

i have heard really bad things about the autozone optis. i havent had any experience with them i choose to get mine from gm parts direct. its really not that hard to do ether. for the autozone lifetime warranty is nice and its not that hard to do but i wouldnt wanna make a habbit of doing it ether not to much fun. just my $.02
