whats wrong with my times?

i went to orlando speedway this past weekend to run my car and was disappointed with what i ran.i only ran twice but could only manage a 13.3 @102 mph.my 60 sucked at only a 1.99 but that was traction related.im more worried about the low mph.i think maybe its a sign of my tired engine telling me shes about done.the car has 140,000 miles on it but has always ran strong.

p.s.--my mods are: cai, edelbrock headers, hooker cat back, cut out (opened), 2800 non lock up stall, pcm for less program, trans go shift kit, msd ignition, underdrive pulleys, and a maf trans(which is actually set on 0 right now)--any one have some input??thats only a little over 4 tenths and 2 mph from my bone stock run.but that was 70,000 miles ago.........

For running 13.3 102mph is extremely low. 1.9 isnt a bad 60ft at all, but 13.3 should be around the 110mph mark. the stall is gonna account for some of the low mph. they tend to drop et's great but dont do much for mph

I only run 105 mph at 12.77 and a 1.76 60ft, that's with 320 hp to the wheels. The converter definitely robs a little MPH and a better 60ft will generally lower MPH.

for an automatic with the listed mods I don't think there's anything wrong with your times. The weather conditions probably affected it somewhat as well.

i know that many of the cars there were running 3-4 tenths slower and a few mph less than usual.but this was my first time to the track with my car set up the way it is and was just hoping for more i guess.i can get my 60 in the 1.7's with traction but im afraid im going to lose more mph when i do.id like to be around 105-106.obvioulsy higher would be great but im trying to be realistic.im going to try and replave my springs and adjust my rockers this weekend maybe that will help a little.any other ideas???

the weather plays a huge role in how track time are. there is a calculator on the net that adds in the sea level, temp, dew point, humidity, etc. to come up with a number I think it's called the D/A. (i can't remember) Anyway for a good day it needs to be under -1000 or something.

Well i agree with the guys that it was probably the weather that caused the low mph.I have a friend with a mustang who ran his best ET last summer at the track on a really hot humid day and even though it was his best ET it was his lowest MPH which was 13.6 at 96mph.Also i see you have a MAF Translator and was wondering were you mounted it,the reason i ask is because i have one and have sent it back twice and they upgraded the chip in it and they keep telling me there is nothing wrong with it but when i hook it up even with it set on zero the car idles up and down.I mount it near my holley ignition box and was thinking maybe the box is screwing it up so i was just curious if you have had any trouble with yours.

i havent had any problems with my maf trans so far--i have it mounted on the drivers side wheel well right under the fuel lines.my msd is ride behind my headlights on the same side.actually right now i have the base set at 5% rich to keep my car idling cause its been stalling out at lights recently.but the wot is set at 0.my 02's r around 920 so i think for now its good where it is.i guess ill have to give this another shot.

the car was in overdrive but it was in 3rd gear thru the traps.my trans better not be slipping its the 4th one ive put in this car in the last 2 yrs.my stall is only a 2800 and my rpms where above that so im going to have to say its not.and my cars not stock its got most of the bolt ons so im very unhappy with the mph.
