What's wrong with my new camaro?
I just bought a 1996 z28 m6 last week. It has 137,000 miles on the odometer, and everything seemed to be fine until today...
It feels like it lost alot of power. It doesn't feel anywhere as strong as it did a couple days ago. 2nd gear and 3rd gear punches don't nearly have the same amount of power. There is a service engine light on, and I believe that it's for the EGR valve. Could this have anything to do with the problem?
What else could be causing this?
Thanks,
fre$h

Lots of guys on this board have bought high-mileaged LT1's (well over 100k) and the cars have done just fine and lasted a long time without needing anything more than a basic tune-up.
Maybe he got a good deal on it or it was just a nice overall car.But I agree, hook it up to an OBD2 scanner at AutoZone or with a shop that does to see what codes its throwing so that you can go from there with the diagnosis and solution...
