What's wrong with my car?

Well it may be my fault but I put regular gas (11 gallons) instead of premium the other day cause of the gas prices and yesterday I noticed that when I hit it that it bogged down really bad and missed. I went out today to start it after it sat overnight for 12 hours and the car wouldn't start. Just cranked....I let it sit for about 4-5 hours after I pumped it and I then went outside about 20 min ago to start it and it seemed like it wanted to turn over but it just didn't.

I had the same problem about 2 months ago but the car didn't bog down, just had a hell of a time starting when it's cold...turned out it was arc'ing on my number 8 cylinder and I have to have my wires replaced but that ran me 400 dollars. Do you think this is the same problem again because of the fuel I ran? I will sell this car before I invest another 400 into it cause I'm laid off right now and I cannot afford it at all. If it's the wires I can buy a set and my dad can put them on...but he don't even know where to start cause you can't even see the wires on the LT1. Maybe some tips for him would be good!!! Do you guys think this could be the problem again? Thank you for the help ;-)

The gas unless it was bad will only cause a slight performance loss. You might get knocking or pinging but nothing to bad. I paid 85.00 for MSD super conductor wires and $50 for very nice plugs. If you can do the work yourself you could get away with around 50-60 for both if you can live with a store brand lower end. Not recommended for the beginner or if you don't have 5-8 hours of patients and determination.

could be flooded. unplug injector fuses and floor it while cranking this will clear out any left over fuel in the cylinders. be careful though cuz it could start so make sure you let off fast

Alright Crazydave did what you said and the car fired up...although not right away. I took it for a ride and filled it up with premium fuel and now the car seems to run fine and it fires right up. I am just curious as to why it gave me the problem after I put the regular gas in it...the car bogged and then wouldn't start up after sittin overnight. We'll see what tomorrow brings!
I also noticed when I through a carwash or when I wash my car it has the tinyest miss to it...I'm really confused

The opti is very sensitive to moisture. I have read of lots of misses and performance loss after it rains or anything leaks on the opti. It will dry out in a day or so and may run like normal.

good to hear it wasn't anything major. i've never had a problem with my opti **knock on wood** and moisture but when i rebuilt my motor i put a small bead of silicone all the way aound all the "cracks" or possible places were moisture could enter. it survived a crapped out WP so i think it's worth it, if you ever get the chance.

Maybe something I should consider doing...But would putting regular gas in my car instead of premium give that big problem of hard starting in the AM after it was sitting for about 12-15 hours? I'm clueless as to what would cause this...I had my ignition wires replaced a month ago after a similar problem but that can't be the case again
