Whats this Valve For

Drivers side, rear of the car. In the trunk on the left side under some of the carper moulding theres a cut to allow access to some valve of some sort. Anyone able to help me out here on what it's for?

Could it possibly be the access panel for the upper shock bolts? The 'verts are "different" than the coupes as far as where they are located.
