whats up f-bodys

I figured that i would join this site, and do a little homework on some of the competition. I dont have a camero, but instead a RSX-S. My mods are in my sig.

Plus i would rather get on with some cameros instead of the mustangs.

A little info on my times im running 9.14@80.67 in 1/8 mile. Thats with horrible 87 degree weather and 90% humidity. Maybe when it cools down i can hit into the 8's. I know the 8's aint **** to most of you but ill be happy with it in my N/A 4-cylinder.

Also im from upstate SC.....if anyone knows where the hell thats at.

This doesnt belong in LT1 TECH for sure, you dont even drive a car with a lt1 in it, try the lounge or whatever the offtopic place is.

Welcome to the site. You've got that RSX running pretty good! There is a guy around here with a quick one, but I can't remember his name. He's got some cam work and bolt ons I believe. I have heard there have been a lot of advances lately with tuning on the new PCMs on those cars.

Anyhoo, about your question, my mods are in the sig as well as a timeslip. 8.18 @86.65. My previous best with bolt ons on street tires was 9.0@81.65.

Damn those are some nice times stock. I know a couple people in rsx's running some quick times.
N/A on street tires--13.7
N/A on slicks--13.1
turbo--severel in the 12.5's

Im aiming for the mid 13's N/A on street tires.

Talking DOH!!!!

Welcome to the board! You have some respectable time in your WRX!!

Please do all of us F-body owners a favor and learn to spell CAMARO properly.

By the way my times for a modded car are in the sig!

Since you are new, you might not know that there is a 5 line limit to the sig. You should try to cut it down out of respect to others that have slow dial-up connections.

Easy there Kracker, don't be so sensitive! I was joshin you some by spelling WRX instead of RSX.

I welcomed you to the board. and complimented you on your times. Take notice of the big smile at the top of my post.

hmm

Also i was wondering what times to most f-bodys get:
V6 firebird--- the 3400 will be upper 16's, low 17's on MOST models. The 3800 series II will be around upper 15's, low 16's, on MOST models. ( manual, auto, gearing, etc )
formula v8--- the LT1 will run low 14's, high 13's
trans am--- Same LT1 as formulas, right? Numbers very similar.
fire hawk---- No clue.

Welcome, as was said - the times will be all over the map as cars vary from stock to wildly modded. There are people here with street cars in the nines , and these are true street cars. Mine's complete with AC and emissions equipment and runs mid-10's, hoping for more this year.
