What mods would it take for a 94 T/A M6 on stock tires to beat a 90 GT that has: 1.7rr's, B303 cam, hardened pushrods, manual steering, tremec 3550, 3.27's, hollowed cats, flowmasters, and shorties. The GT over the weekend ran a 8.3 @82mph on nittos in the 1/8. The T/A currently has a Moroso CAI, flowmaster, and my friend just got a hypertech programmer. How much more would it take to beat this GT in the 1/4?

Hooker Longtube headers, off-road pipe, cut-out, ripper shifter and take the back side of your airbox off and duct tape the edges of a stock filter replacement K&N in. Results with 3.42 gears:
13.00 @ 107.4 MPH w/ ET Streets. 13.22 @106mph with comp t/a street tires.

Dr's, CAI, cutout, headers, and practice launching will get you low 13's possible high 12's; add 4.10's and net mid 12's.

Cool, I was thinking/hoping all the bolt ons would be about all that's needed. The guy ran that 8.3 with nittos, and I'm not sure if he'll run those on the street. He does however, have serious traction problems on streets. I guess the thing to do is go for the longer race past 110mph or so and the T/A should take him at the higher speeds.
