Borla is a well built system, but it is played out. I think they sound obnoxious too. They just have that aggravating high pitched noise. Thats why i like my dynomax. Its got that whoosh growl sound and it has no drone at all.

i also have a dynomax muffler and like it alot, it has a nice
low mellow tone to it, but i have the super turbo.

i wanted to ask you guys with the ultra, would it be worth my
while to change out to the ultra, i have a 2-1/2" from the cat back
now and a set of slp headers?

thanks

I had a 3" Flowmaster American Thunder with a single output but the exhaust drove me crazy with my new Stroker moter. I Replaced just the muffler with a Spintech Sportsman Street XL and it made a huge difference. The Exhaust note is great and the power increase was also noticable.
I had the Spintech from Mufflex-imo best sounding muffler out there.

if you want quiet and free flowing.... then its the Dynomax Ultra Flow. Hands down, no doubt about it. you can see straight through that muffler but its still suprisingly quiet.

Dynomax Super Turbo over here! I love it. I have the E-cutout for when I want to be loud.

I think the Super Turbo is more quiet than the Ultra. I don't know about flow though. I do know they flow better than Flowmasters though, which is what I had before.

Well i dont have an ultra flow, mine is the race magnum. Im not sure of this but i think the ultra flow replaced the race magnum. The ultra flow is the louder one of the two.
Mine is a 3inch in 3inch out you can see straight through the muffler. When i first looked at this muffler i thought it would be waaaaay to loud. To my suprise it has a nice rumble at idle, cruises very mellow, and when you slam the gas everyone hears you.

Just want to put in my vote for the Spintech. The sound and the power are incredible. Understated muscle when cruising, but a raging lion when you get on it. It is worth consideration.
