what's this? (pic inside...)

This piece was hooked up to the air pump that I removed.

What is it?

Re: what's this? (pic inside...)

I pulled the hookup that's on the intake and it's drawing a suction. I removed the piece Im holding in my hand and simply stopped the end up with a stopper and tucked the tube. Any ideas on what to do with it?

Doesn't look like an EGR solenoid to me. If it came off with the AIR system, it is probably a bleed valve for it. You won't need it with the AIR system gone.

Nope. If/when you remove your EGR soleniod you'll have to do it for that one too.

Re: what's this? (pic inside...)

There was a recall on the AIR pump for 95's and when you (or whoever took it in) to fulfill the recall requirements, they had to install this valve on. Just remove it and either cap it off or plug it off. I took one of the plugs out of my old heads and then removed the one out of the intake and replaced it with the plug that was in the head. If you dont want to do this, just cap it off with a vaccum cap.
