whats needed to rebuild calipers?
whats needed to rebuild calipers?
my car pulls to the right while driving and pulls to the left while braking. i think my passenger caliper is binding.
what is needed to rebuild the caliper? the guy at discount auto handed me a bag with one single gasket in it, and i can't believe thats the only thing that is replaced.
and how do you do it?

Check with a GM parts department. There should be a seal and a boot (both rubber-like material) and perhaps gaskets.
Make sure you use new Caliper Bolts and sleeves and their associated bushings. There is a possibility those are the real culprits and the caliper is fine. You can replace them and the pads, of course, without disconnecting the caliper from the hydraulic line.
If you rebuild the calipers (or buy rebuilt ones), flush the whole system with new fluid and bleed the master cylinder first then each wheel cylinder.
You may also need rotors.
