What's mod to do next...

First of all let me say hi everyone. I am posting for a freind of mine. He dyno'd the car the other day on a Mustang Dyno and got 225HP/350TQ at the tire. Powercurve was very impressive, it shoots up right under the 350 line at about 3000rpm and it stays there until the mid 5Krpm's, touching the 350 line twice but staying right under there. His combo is:

ENGINE: Stock longblock, LT4 valve spring, CC-305 cam, comp 1.6 roller tip rockers making 220/230 @ .050 durration and .544/.544 lift 114LSA, 52mm TB, Elbow, Airfoil, Moroso CAI, Edelbrock Midlenghts, O/R Y pipe, cutout, no muffler,

DRIVETRAIN: JET 4L60-E trans with ArtCarr 3000rpm stall, Moser 12bolt rear with 3.73 gear, posi rear end, 15x10 Welds 275/60R15 Nitto DR's (28"tall) 160* t-stat, PCMforless tune. 15x4 fronts.

CHASSIS AND SUSPENSION: Moroso front springs, Aftermarket drag springs (don't know the brand) Lakewood LCA's, spoon? PHB, 6 speed's TQ arm. Removed the back seats, airbag in RR... that's about it.

Ran 8.2 at 88mph in the 1/8th on a crappy track. I watched his car launch. It hooks at first but then spins kicking out to the side, then goes down pretty good, no excessive squat or controll issues. What could be the next mod that would help the most. Longtube instead of eddy midlengths? 4.xx gear instead of a 3.73? Porting the heads?

Heads, Longtubes, E-WP, ASP Pulley, Dyno tune just to name a few. I dont think anything short of heads is going to show a huge improvment, but a buddy of mine did LT's, E-WP, and ASP Pulley, 1.6 RR's from Mids, and gained 4 tenths in the 1/4.

Oh yeah, he had done the CSI electric waterpump and ASP underdrive pulley. Hard to remember all his mods.

What kind of gains would 1 3/4ths longtubes give over 1 5/8ths (i think) Edelbrock midlenths.

He's got a good combo, he beats all the other LT1 N/A F-bodies around here.

I don't how much different a mustang dyno is from a dyno jet but those numbers are horrible w/ that combo. If your friend is looking to maximize his power at the track then I would get the following .......

1. E/T Steets.....number one improvement on my ets. and 60 ft's
2. Torque arm
3. Sub-Frame connectors
4. Lower control arms

You can see the theme that I'm trying to get at.....SUSPENSION!!!!
But if he is just wanting dyno numbers go w/a 150 shot of nitrous, night and day difference there

Well now I feel like a jackass!!!
I just re-read the mods and I didn't pay any attention the first time about the suspension work done. Sorry about that, but still get the E/T streets and N20!!!

Don't feel like the donkey dangler, good suggestions, but he already has them, he also has subframes as well. The Mustang Dyno, has nothing to do with mustangs but just the type of dyno. Usually reads down 10-15% of a dynojet, so on a dynojet he should have scored 350hp/375tq or so.

Slicks... yeah he needs them. He can't even stall up the converter, it's a lockup so really it's suposed to be flashed and not stalled but still even if he tries that it starts spinning the rear or pushing the front wheels and redlights. The car launches OK, not near what I think it could, but then half way to the 60 spins.

Spray, yes definatly, but want to be able to have some impressive all motor and use the spray for even meaner times. Were looking for 11's on motor, low 11's to 10's on bottle.

Ported stock heads? What kind of flow can we get from those? What kind of power increase?
