I've pretty much narrowed down my cat back selection between these too. I want a deep, sounding exhaust and from my research these 2 fit that bill perfectly. I want it to be loud though, but not raspy. So which one is louder

 

From what I have heard, I believe the 2OTL is louder. I haven't heard the Hooker in person, but the 2OTL sounds very nice. Good deep rumble.

 

I know the SLP has a NICE rumble!! I haven't heard either in person, but from what I've seen those 2 are the best ones. The only reason I'd choose the Hooker over the SLP is because of it's dual outlets on both sides. If it were me tho, I'd choose the SLP....better sound quality.

 

I have the Hooker, and my friend has the 2OTL. We're about even as far as noise level goes. We both have our cats removed, but he has SLP shorty headers with the 1 3/4 primaries, and for now, I have stock manifolds. If I had the same headers as him, mine would be a tad bit louder I think.

They're both great exhaust systems, and my favorite two cat-backs. You won't be disappointed with whichever you get, they're both very similar in sound and volume.

 

The TOTL has NO rasp to it, thats why its so nice, the Magnaflow is about as close I have heard to the TOTL.

 

IMO the SLP is louder, I had a friend that had the Hooker and I had the SLP. Both of us had basically the same mods done and everyone always said mine was just a little louder they thought. But I think you will be happy with either exhaust system.

 

I had the 2otl before I went to the LM and regret it now. It sounded nice. I say mine was louder than my buddy when he had a Hooker. It was also louder than my buddies flow too.

 

i love my 2otl but i havent heard many others in person...there's a 94-95 GT vert and a 96-98 cobra vert around me that sound badass...how awesome it sounds almost makes me want to cry

Anyway, I like the sound of Mustangs too. I think they sound better because of the fact that they have dual exhaust.

2otl all the way, i love the sound of it!! ill never go toi anything else

 

They sound awesome cause of their modular motors. I love their sound also. I don't take anything away from a Z28 though, cause I think they can sound just as mean.

 

As I have said many times.. I wouldnt trade my 2OTL for ANYTHING!!

 

My vote is SLP 2OTL.
