I'm talkin sub 450ish. I was thinking Hooker or Flowmaster as of now. I heard the Hookers are real quiet though. I want my stuff to be heard, but not that raspy sound.

I heard a Hooker catback a while back on an LT1 car without cat's and it sounded pretty nice. Kinda raspy when the motor came down off of being revved up, but it sounded pretty sweet...more 'muscley' sounding. If you can do that where you are, you could concider gutting or running a pipe in place of it. I have a gutted cat on my car right now and yeah you can smell more fumes in the exhaust but it's not that bad.

I've had my Hooker catback for a few years and I LOVE it. I'm not 100% sure if it's as loud as what you're looking for, it's pretty quiet at idle but has a really nice rumble. When you get on it it really roars too. I've had a couple of idiots think I wanted to race them just tooling along as even minor throttle changes can be heard with it going like 30mph!

I bought it back in like '99, it was about $250 or so. When this one finally gives out there's no doubt I'll be getting another.

so far I have been correct. a new post everyday about exhaust..
I have had flowmastr and I switched to hooker. It is a deep mellow idle and screams when you get on it. I have heard magnaflwo, it is ok but raspy

Hooker. I've heard both and Hooker wins. Flowmaster wasn't too bad either, but the Hooker is much better in my opinion.

Personally, I think my Hooker catback is loud. I have headers and a high flow cat too though.
