I would like to know what the difference is between 2.73 and 3.23 in the 1/8 mile and 1/4 on a pretty much stock car. Is the 3.23 a good gear for an everyday driver. Also, will the car feel alot stronger acceleratiing and have more low end.
In my experience the 3.23s are worth two tenths. I had a 95TA with 2.73s and it's best ET bone stock was 13.94 at 98.8, with a 2.16 60ft. My current car's best ET bone stock was 13.74 at 100, with a 2.00 60ft, and it's got 3.23s.
With 3.23s it feels faster all around, the 2.73s just made that car feel sluggish in town.

I had NO gain going from 2:73 all the way to 3:73, and I know I am not the only one(and no, it's not from wheelspin.
BTW, if you are swapping gears, going from 2:73 to a 3:23 seems like a waste of money IMO. May step up to at least a 3:42
