Whats the deal? I keep getting codes for O2s

Ive been getting consistant codes for my O2s (slow response). With in the last six months I have replaced my front bank 1 and 2 02s three times. Every time I replaced them they have only lasted about two weeks before they threw another code. Its always the right bank first that goes out follwed by the left bank a few days or week later. About a month ago I got a p0100 code for my MAF and when I replace the MAF along with the O2s evertyhing has been fine until just recently when my SES light came back on for the right bank. A month is as long as i have gone with no problems.

The only thing that ive changed on my car the last six months was the installation of my long tube headers and a PCM for Less tune which i had the rear o2s tuned out. Any suggestions?

I think you got it backwards. The rear O2s are the ones that are tuned out, the front ones are used for the PCM to adjust the mixture in closed loop. Sometimes all the stuff in new headers can ruin sensors, so its best to do the startup with the old sensors for a short time to burn all the junk, then put the new ones in. the rear sensors just tell the PCM if the cats are working, so they aren't as vital (those are the ones he tuned out).

I edited my post to correct my error, i keep mixing them up for some reason, most likely because the fronts are near where the rears once were.

Heres the thing about my headers, I bought them used (from thunderchiken) and have had them on the car for six months and still have the problem with the O2s

Ok, do you have the sensors plugged into the correct plugs in the harness? The front plugs?

everything is hooked up right, got the extensions for the front and the rears tied up out of the way. A buddy of mine suggested I put some washers between my O2s and header to back the actual sensor in the header out a bit. He said backing it out abit could keep it from fouling out if infact the previous O2s were fouled and not due to something electronical or otherwise. Dose that sound realistic?

Do the new o2s come with washers on them already I do t remember, if not I would try it with out the washer your putting in. The only other thing I can think of is if the tune is good?
