lol well there is two guys I work with that race NHRA, and they are putting in an order too, so I get to use their racer discount, and split shipping 3 ways! Plus I am getting a few more things too.

The arp ones I would get would be one inch long, with the smaller head to get the box end of the wrench in there. Damnit, I hate desicions like this!

I have had to tighten up the bolts just one time so far. The stage 8's seem like a joke to me, however the breslins seem more practical.

Re: whats better, stage 8 or ARP header bolts?
I have 3/4" Stage 8s on both of my vehicle's headers, and never had a problem.
The Blazer has had them for 5 years now with Hooker Super Comp Shorties, and no leaks or backing out. I've never had to retighten them. The Z has had them for only a month or so with SLP shorties.
The trick with the Stage 8s is, when putting the locking washer on, make sure the bolt's head is positioned in such a way that if the bolt starts to back out, the washer hits a primary. If you do it this way, it is impossible for them to back out.
If they do back out on you, then the washer was installed with a gap between the flat part and the primary (if you were to spin the bolt left).

Re: whats better, stage 8 or ARP header bolts?
I used ARP SS studs with 12 pt nuts. They are a little clearance challenged, but gets rid of the possibility of having a bolt not go in or stripping/crossthreading holes. They get retorqued once and stay good & tight.

This will help the PITA LT1 header install bigtime. If I tried to a 12 point box wrench for the passenger side bolts I would probably burn the car to the ground out of pure frustration.

Im with ya on the frustration part! I have wanted to drive my car off a cliff several times, but now Im glad I didn't! I took your advice and ordered the stainless ones, 1 inch long, with the smaller 5/16" heads with 6 point heads. Thanks everyone for the help!
