whats the best way to improve the top-end?

I want my top-end to pull like my bottem-end does. Whats the best way besides a cam to do this?

Ya can't have both.
Cam will move your torque up in the RPM band.
There is only about 3-3500RPM band that is making the power. You can move this up or down.
What I do is build the requested engine with the Peak power at 65-7000 for a street engine and use the gear to get it back down low.
Make your engine as powerful and with the most torque ya can in the upper range and use the gears to get it outt'a the hole.

Re: whats the best way to improve the top-end?

There are cams that have minimal effect on low end perf. that will move the power band up and make it pull hard to 6000rpm. But if a cam change is not a path you want to take you can install a supercharger kit. The stock cam will give you low end torque and the supercharger boost will deliver tons of power in the upper rpm range. Get a kit with intercooler for best performance and engine protection against high inlet temps. and detonation issues.

a dry nitrous kit with a small shot and a window switch set to 4k-6k

I know n20 doesn't count, but you leave no choice!

Build a 706CI BB and ya got the best of both world's. Doesn't matter much how it's cammed and ya don't need a blower or nitros.

Or you could just race to 60 all the time.

Re: whats the best way to improve the top-end?

im back with the stock 1.5 rockers but still have the stiffer lt4 springs. Im thinking that a cam swap will be best. What is the cam that would suit me best with the lt4 springs and 1.5 rockers?
