Whats the best cam for me?

My cars in the sig...I have 2.73's which I am intending to swap to 3.73's. This car is my daily driver, but I want it to be in the high 11's. So, what would be the best cam for my car, and what else would need to be done (RR's, Converter, Etc.) for the car to handle the cam?

Thanks for any help, Keith

Id get a nice set of LT headers after the gears, then a stall converter...AS far as the cam goes....cc305 is probably as strong of a cam you can get to pass the jersey sniffer. believe me I know all about it

For a daily driver I would do either a hot cam kit (great for money) or the 218/224 combo motorsports or even a 224/230(their kit is also good for the money). I would do headers first or a good catback or cutout, then do a cam, heads, bigger TB, 2800 stall(good for everyday), new wires and plugs, tranny cooler, either custom Y pipe or true dual, good tune and some DR's...with all that you would be easily in the 11's.

I would do something around the 224-230XE b/c it's not easy to run 11's in a daily driver car @full weight trust me I have bee trying with my Hotcam and I am sure I could do it but I don't want to strip my car or put too low of a gear. The easiest way to do it is to put a small cam to pass emmisions and a small shot of n20 and thats easy. But 11's N/A small cam, heavy car in a daily driver not easy.

I had decided on the CC305 for my car. Actually bought one...and then decided to stay with just bolt-ons and see how far I could push the car.

The cam is up for sale if interested!!
