Whats the absoloute best adjustable fuel pressure regulator

I already bought an Accel one...it didnt fit

I bought an Aeromotive one....it leaked after the second day

I know a lot of people are using that SLP one that converts the stock one into an adjustable one. I'm sure this one works because its made by SLP, but I'm not sure if I like converting the stock one...

I guess I'm looking for a complete unit that comes and replaces the stock one, but I'm yet to find one that actually fits or doesnt leak...

Someone let me know, thanks....

Not an answer to your question exactly but I've been using the Aeromotive for 2 years now and it has never leaked....possibly a defective piece or improper install???

Removing the hat and replacing it with an adjustable hat is not very difficuly, very simple to do. I have never seen a TPiS unit leak, or have fit problems as they put an adjustable hat on a stock unit, and the SLP hat kit works well from what i have heard....

Good luck man,

Erik

I put the lt1 style aeromotovie on a car and its been gravy.

You could also go with something radical if you are redoing the entire system like i did on my new combo. This will require AN fittings and line.

My friend and I are both running TPIS units with no issues for years. My other friend bought an Aeromotive and it wouldn't hold pressure.

Actually, with the govt, the project usually goes to the lowest bidder, not the best company.

One of my friends has been using the Holley Billet one and it hasn't had any problems. A few of my friends are Running the Aeromotive and they haven't had any trouble either.

i am a mechanical engineer by trade with a heavy background in electronics and for $15,000 i will build you the best FPR bar none. Options will include remote electronic adjustment by manual over ride or computer control along with a electronic display guage that will be accurate to .001 pounds. For an additional $5,000 I can add voice command along with data logging of the regulator cycle. These prices do not include install but will include 1 free lapdance at the local gentelmens club of your choice.

You know, the stocker works just fine. Considering some people on this board have run the stock FPR up to 700 rwhp, I don't see why you really need an adjustable one (also, a trip to the titty bar is usually way under $20k ). BTW, my Aeromotive leaked directly into the intake manifold and is the main reason why I blew a head gasket. Also, on the replacement regulator, they told me to zip tie one of the fuel lines in place. Needless to say, I'll never use another Aeromotive LT1 fuel pressure regulator. I switched back to a stocker and I've had zero fuel pressure problems.

Re: Whats the absoloute best adjustable fuel pressure regulator

why are you guys using adj fpr's? its only a temporary gain on an lt1...the computer will override the fpr after a while by changing the pulse of the injectors.
by the way, i have the accel, and it works fine....if anyone can tell me what the letters and numbers on the top of it mean, it would be appreciated.
