what are you 100,000 mile LT1's guys running for oil?????? synthetic?? striaght weight, or multi grade?????

Mobil 1 tri synthetic 10w 30 since i have owned the car.

 

There is a long thread on this about once a week and honestly I have spent way too much time on them already. Click on my screen name than look at my recent posts and you will easily find several threads.
The 5w-30 and 10w-30 M1 everyone thinks is the best stuff for this engine is not anywhere near as good a choice as "the Vette got it" would lead you to believe. It is good oil just not appropriate here if you like M1 then go 0w-40 or 5w-40, if you want a 30wt. then use something other than M1.

 

what about the m1 15w50 ??? Ive run 20w50 in my 97 before but dino juice never run syn in it before , for some reason 15w50 seems like an uncomfortable number lol Ive convinced myself that 10w40 dino is good enough for my car
