Just wondering what to expect, I have a 95 z28 with 118000 miles on the bottom end, I have an lt4 hotcam with custom worked heads to the cam and worked for nitrous, I have new lifters, prted polished intake, 58mm throttle body, new MAF sensor, new timing chain, and a set of 4:10 gears, the clutch I have has about 20000 miles on it, and it is a bit more than stock, not sure if it is a stage 1 though. I what to expect with a 150 wet shot and the listed mods?? horsepower and 1/4 mile.. I know the rear and tranny r questionable, and I'm only spraying 150 a few times then back to 100. I plan to order the intake fuel pump b4 I do this. NE input??

are you saying that all of the bolt on stuff is installed and shaken down? or are you planning top put all that together then spray it? with that many miles on the clock, you'll most likely be pulling the bottom end to put in some new rings with a 150 shot. also, with a bottom end that old i wouldnt push things. i once hears that the rings are good to 170k miles, running at or near stock anyway.

 

Keep it fat and happy and it will be OK until the extra strain breaks something.If ya don't rattle it.
Your drive line won't like it.

 

Anytime you mod a higher mileage motor youre taking a risk of breaking something but dont let that scare you. I put a cam in my motor at 120k and its done just fine. Its all how the motor has been maintained.

 

Well you could rebuild it now...or run it till it blows up and rebuild it then...might cost a little more in the latter of the two...but who cares
