What is the Widest 15" wheel I can put in the rear?

I am planning on installing some 15 x 10 in the back and 15 x 5 or 3.5 in the front, pro star or telestar wheels, on my 95 z28. What back spacing should I use? and do I need to grind the calipers. Or should I just install some 15 x 8. Who has the best price on these wheels. Thanks for the help.

Then you should run a 15x8. You may be able to sneak a 27" tire in it too, but 28 will require some cutting.

You might want to read the thread. 15x10 w/ 7.5" BS and 28x11.5-15 Hoosier QTP's fit onj my Formula with no modifications, other than moving the axle back about 1/4" to prevent the leading edge of the tire from hitting the sheetmetal edge of the quarter panel. 27's should fit with no problem.

Note that some 15" wheels, no matter what the width or offset, require the fins to be ground off the brake calipers. Bogarts and the Telstars are two that do not. Welds do.

You do need to be aware that what fits on one 4th Gen, does not fit the same on all 4th Gens. I've seen posts by people with the same setup as I have cutting away the inner sheet metal at the jounce bumpers.... you might also want to do a "search" on the Drag Racing forum. This subject has been covered many times.
