What weight oil in new motor?

What weight oil in new motor?
I no not to use synthetic oil just dont know what weight oil to go with and cant get hold of the shop that build the motor this motor is a fresh built 383.Thanx David

mine's a new motor as well...

i'm using 10-30 for the first 5k miles to make sure everything is sealed up...then, i'll move to synthetic. but, that's just me.

Straight 30wt is what i use
then later switch to whatever you use
