Believe anything below 13 #'s is not normal.

Is your map reading 16.4 or are you subtracting your MAP reading from the BAR?

Oh, MAP reading? No idea. I thought you were using a vacuum gauge.

That must be nice to have 16.4. I get around 11 with a 306.

Use a VACUUM GAUGE. Dont judge vacuum by pcm readings.

Re: What vacuum should I see at idle???

My gauge reads 11-12, my PCM sees 14-15. Course my cam is a little bigger than yours.

Hey Rob, did you get the rocker studs retightened? Hope you gave the machine shop a good thrashing over that.

Yeah got them readjusted with new pushrods and all. Gave the machine shop a good piece of my mind also. So thats the reason I am asking about the readings on the scanmaster, wanted to know if sounds about right since I had to adjust the valves again. Chris thanks for all your help at G9 and all dont know where I would of been without the assistance.

Why not? Simple math.... BAR - MAP = vacuum.

Explain the error.

And... for all the people who used "#".... vacuum is either inches of mercury ("Hg), kilopascals (kPa) or psi... never "#".
