What is used for closed and open loop?

I am having troubles with a sensor causing the car to stumble, misfire, and even pop through the intake at part throttle conditions. It never seems to do this when I first start the car, and never does it under full throttle conditions. I believe this is possibly from a sensor that is not being used during closed loop conditions, but is used during open loop. Does anyone know what sensors are used during each llop cycle? Thanks.

All the sensors are used, open or closed loop, other than the O2 sensors, used only in closed loop.

i would like to know more about this cuz im having the same problem with my car as well. i seemed to have tracked everything down to the O2's but even rewiring both O2's and putting new ones on there it does the same thing. i disconnected them and the car runs fine except for an SES light. have you replaced them, might just be that they're old and worn out some. wouldnt hurt to try i guess.

Do you have any scanned data, like fuel trims?
