what timing chain to use

what timing chain should i use when i do my cam install. its a 93 lt1 and i am goin to switch to the vented opti. also do i need to get an electric water pump? any advice is greatly appreciated.

you can use an lt4 with no mods to go to double chain you need a new 95 opti, timing cover and electic water pump.

I would just go with a choyls double roller timming chain (i think thats what its callled) thats what i got and its specialy made for electric waterpumps. im satisfied with it.

If you want to go elec WP you can also look into the double roller cmotorsports sells for a good price. It's the one I run on my car and am very satisfied.

yea cmotorsports has the ex-187, which is comparable to the Cloyes double roller, only less expensive.
