What timing chain in an ODB II setup.
What timing chain in an ODB II setup.
I have been running the stock timing chain for 5 years now and when I pulled my engine apart...not surprisingly, the chain was rather loose, to put it mildly.
So now I am looking in to a new timing chain. I would like to go double roller, but will it work with ODB II and the crank sensor?
So what are you guys with ODB II running for timing chains?

I just swapped cams and used the GMPP LT1/LT4 Extreme Duty Timing Set for about $300. Not cheap but it works with OBDII. They even provide a W/P gear, but I didn't use it as I chose to replace the entire W/P bearing/shaft assemby and it comes with the gear already press fit.
I also decided to use a keyed hub on the crank although it probably wasn't necessary.

I am thinking the stock LT4 timing chain should do fine.
I don't need a special waterpump gear since I long ago had the part that drove the waterpump removed.
