I've got a set of brand new bare aluminun heads p/n 12551561.
I was led to believe they were vette heads for my TPI Iroc, but my cousin said he found the # somewhere and they are revised 97 heads. Both of the GM dealers said they couldn't find they #s anywhere. What do I have ???

 

I just looked up the # and they are supposed to be 96 heads. Are these better, worse, or indifferent from whats on my 94 TA ??

 

That casting number would be for a 96-97 LT1 head. They are different from the earlier heads. In stock form, they flow a bit better. They don't have as much meat to remove for porting, so are not as good there.

So, Would it be worth it to get a port job on them and replace my stock heads, or just try to sell them ???
