Im taking off parts of the wire harness because i am going with the gen 7 stand alone harness. While doing this i ran across some unknown electrical devices that id like to know what they do, adn if i need them anymore. I am only going to have the factory ecm in my car to control the speedometer, oil level, and coolant level sensors.
--What is/does the square black box (about 4x4 inches)down by the CAI hole do ? it has quite a few wires going to it.
--there is a black plastic rectangle box and a metal box under the dash on the passenger side, what are they are and what they do? i know one is airbags, but not sure which. Will the Airbags computer work without the ECM fully functioning? thanks for the info
