What are the symptoms of a bad egr valve??

What are the symptoms of a bad egr valve??

b/c it seems like my passenger one has a ticking noise to it and my car has a weird stutter cruisin around town sometimes so any ideas

I take it back its not the egr valve its the air diverter valves the things that have the rubber hoses on it that go ontop of your manifold or headers

If the AIR pump were to run in closed loop somehow, it would throw off your A/F ratio by a lot, as read by the O2 sensors. You'd run really rich.

well it runs good at wot just misses down low sometimes. Should i start by checking my gas milage?? I will be removing the air and egr soon anybody with any tips on that?

i had an egr valve go out and it caused the rubber hose connected to it to melt. then it started ticking. i have removed my egr system now. you will need some computer programming to turn off your ses light and get better performance.
