what studs for RR on hotcam kit?

Did 3/8" or 7/16" studs come w/ LT4 hotcam kit? On a side note are LT4 hotcam kits all the same?

Yeah, I just found out. Car comes with factory 3/8" studs and probably the guy who ordered the hotcam kit bought the RRs for 3/8" studs. So, I 'm gonna have to get new RRs and 7/16"(damn it!). What do I have to do, drill out the holes a bit to accept bigger studs? Where can I buy the studs and how much are they?

If you got the whole HOT cam kit, why do you need to change anything?

The head side of the stud is 7/16 on both the 3/8 and 7/16 studs, so there is nothing to do but unscrew the old and screw in the new.

yeah but the RRs I have now accept 3/8" studs, won't I need new RRs to accept 7/16" studs? They are listed seperately on Thunder's website.

Do you have 7/16" studs installed on your engine? Because, up above you state that you need to buy some. ????

I would sell the rockers you have, use the 7/16s studs and a new set of 7/16 ProMag rockers for a solid set-up.

He's converting from the hotcam kit to another setup. He should have mentioned this first to clear it all up.

The bottoms of the studs are the same as stock and the go right into the head, no drilling. The tops are different sizes.

I was recommended to use the 7/16" studs with bigger rockers. Get the NSA pro mag rockers, ARP studs and GMPP guideplates.
