At what speed does your bolt on lt1 run out of steam.

My car runs strong till about 80 mph and then it lugs like it ran out of lungs is this common for full boltons, 3000 stall, 3.73, built trans everything in my sig minus the blower. I know lt1's dont have great topend but what are you guys experience. Will a cam make me have a better topend pull? Thanks

I can't get past 104 in the quarter, but with enough room 150 was had fairly easy once. That should be left to a proving ground or bonneville.

you should definitely see a little more than 80. with just a few bolt ons I reached the top of the speedo and it was still pulling. but like posted earlier, that was a one time thing! super scary when the front end "floats"

Had mine up to 135 once. Put more foot into the pedal, and it had a lot more to go, but I didn't. I'm sure 150 would have been easy enough, but I didn't want to find out. That was when my 93 was 4 years old. It hasn't been over 80 since then.
