I was about to use the Comp EnduraX lifters, but then I sold them because I "shifted gears" so to speak. I narrowed my choices down to the Comps and the Cranes from feedback on this forum, and price.

I've used the Comp EndurX on the street and really liked them. Haven't heard but one person who doesn't and ironically enough that was for a CZ28 board member.
I prefer to use the Isky aluminum top solids (1241 series) in my race cars and I'm even using them in the LT1 build we just finished. Nicest thing about them is the fact that you can run a much shorter (stiffer) pushrod and that keeps down on valvetrain deflection. Although the biggest gains are seen on the valve side of the rocker, using a shorter pushrod seems to help keep the valvesprings happy longer. Just my experience here.... either that or you can use Jesel or Schubeck.... I've used both but they are pricey options and overkill for a street engine.

Don't know about the best price out there but I bought my Isky aluminum top lifters from Flatlander Racing (http://www.flatlanderracing.com/index.html) this go around..... I've also bought from Doug Herbert in the past.
Nu-Tek seems to have as good a price as I've seen on the EndurX lifters at ~$425.
Prices just seem to juggle around though so it can be a hit-or-miss kinda thing.

Best of luck.

If you decide to go with the Isky's, let me know. My buddy Joe is a dealer for Isky.
