for the heads bolts & the intake bolts? I am looking for details due to the fact I really have no idea. I have the heads off and want to clean the **** out from of the threads. I opened up the Grainger book and there are way too many options and choices.
TIA

most anything that bolts to the heads is 3/8-16 except the coolant lines

the holes in the block for the head bolts are 7/16-14

Exactly. You might want to use a thread chaser/cleaner instead of a tap. They are usually a little less aggresive. Seems like I got a set of 5 from Summit or Jegs for pretty cheap.

Thanks guys. I just found the chasers in the Summit catalog. $14 for 5, that works for me.
