What size PVC pipe for custom CAI?

What size PVC pipe is a direct fit for the intake? I think I'm gonna try to make my own since I have a few days of downtime before I get my new radiator... Thanks

3.5" PVC gives a 3" ID pipe. 3.5" Fernco couplings will connect the MAF to the pipe. Minus the filter, you'll have maybe $10 in parts.

if you can find thin wall PVC that will be better. I made one out of 4" thin wall PVC and it came out OK except for the fact it was hard to fit properly. A 3.5" PVC pipe (do they make it?) would probably be just right.

Sorry for the confusion. My mistake. I believe that (standard wall) PVC is sold by ID, so you'd buy the 3", which gives a 3.5" OD, perfect for matching the MAF OD. I'm no plumber though.
