What size AFR heads do I need?

Building a 383.

Do I need 195s or 210s?

How much a difference in performance will I see?

afr heads

i would recomend the 210's over the 194's a decent head porter can get your factory lt1 heads close to the flow numbers you see out of a 194 head the only advantage i see then would be the thicker deck and raised intake port while agood set of 210 heads will out flow the 194's on a bad day nice if you are going with a big cam or lots of n2o

210's, maybe even 220's.

The 210's flow ~45 cfm more than the 190/195's. Forget about AFR's advertised flow numbers.

And please don't ask about low-end torque or response lost with the larger ports because that's a myth. You will lose a very small amount of low-end (<10 ft lb). I'm sure your cam choice, though, will lose much more than that.
