what should I be looking for when buying lt1 heads

What are some good flow numbers, and how far could I go with $1,000 in a port job, or used ported heads???

thanks

A talented LT1 porter will get about 280 at .600 intake, and still have good midlift numbers.

1000 for a good set of heads will be tough.

Check out
www.lt1dave.com
and
www.advancedinduction.com

Both dave and phil can get some of the best numbers out there, but they are both a little more than 1000, but the price includes machine work for bigger valves, and all new spring/valve componets.
