I would say try picking up some used headers.

IMHO they are not that bad to install. People will charge anywhere from $250-$350. Also your car does not have a chip like 93's do. I would not bother with a 58mm TB since your car is relatively stock. Another thing to look at it would be a gear.

hypertech chip......USELESS...94+ don't have chips and even the programmers that are available are not very worthwhile

throttle body 58mm....USELESS AND OVERKILL for a stock engine, the 48mm will support 400hp

mass air sensor high performance....HAS POTENTIAL...i installed a ZO6 maf on my 96 and it seemed to help on top end, and the $150 cost is much better than the $350 granatelli units

hypertech COIL....NOT A BAD IDEA...heard the 94/95 coils were kindda on the weak side, and it's relatively inexpensive. more of a preventative maintenance

Ported heads...EXPENSIVE...and on a stock cam it's almost useless, you could however upgrad springs and put 1.6 roller rockers on at the same time. but a basic set of ported heads are easily $1000 plus

my advise to you is to do some research on here, hang out and read people's setups and then make a decision. probably the best thing right now is to uncork your exhaust, get some long tubes and a cutout...should be about $600 depeinding on company.

and how the hell are you getting 311 hp from just a catback exhausted LT1?

that has to be a mistake by the dyno or the record for near stock cars.

typical bolt ons, including headers have a hard time reaching 310hp!!

I would say headers arent really that hard to install, it's more of a time issue. Some of the bolts on the original manifolds may be rusted and hard to remove, some are hard to reach, etc.. You may run into a few problems here and there, but thats what we're here for.

Yeah, I was wondering how the hell he got 311 too though. Adding numbers to the stock hp rating at the crank?

Also, I would avoid going with things such as ported maf sensors for performance upgrades, you normally don't see impressive gains with mods such as these. I would say either do something worthwhile such as headers, cutout, pullies, drag radials, stall converter, cam/heads, tuning, etc. And make sure you keep up with regular maintenance.

yes my car is stock, only has a flowmaster series 40 and a (FIPK)
Fuel injection ram air sistem thats all.

Dyno says im making 311 HP unless my car has something else that im not aware off, i just got it 2 weeks ago and i dont know nothing about TAS.

he test drive my car and said to me these are not stock gears, he noticed the car starts fast for it to be stock gears, i might have 3.73 gears but how can i find out!?????????

Not saying the dyno is wrong, but Ive never seen an LT1 with those mods even close to 311. Maybe thats the Torque curve? With those mods it should be more like 250-260 Rwhp. But anyways, my vote is for Headers! They will wake your car up big time.

maybe the guy told him 311fwhp and not the rwhp. That is all I can think or it's the torque like someone else said.

you just have the muffler right? or the full flowmaster catback? Not that it matters, but i dont really think the flowmaster muffler and a cold air would put anywhere near 300. If your lucky, 260 tops..

And gears, the only way to know, is to open up the rear-end. Cause if it was changed by the owner before you bought the car, just checking the codes would be inaccruate. But if you want to find out what gears you did or might still have...Look in your drivers side door well or in the glove box (where mine is) and lookf or GU3, GU5 etc

you could have been dynoed in the wrong gear...not sure if that can make it read higher or lower...

i'd say the easy way to check gears is to tell us what rpm you are turning at a specific speed...and i'm assuming stock 245 or 275 tires, and is it an auto?
