What should I do with my heads?

I plan on getting an LT4 HCK for the spring in my Camaro. I want to make extra horsepower by porting the heads. What are my options and what kind of power can I expect to make? I'm really new to the whole heads thing so please be paticent with me.

You can get the heads milled to acheive 11to 1 compression, 3 angle valve job, port match and polish intake and exhaust runners. You can pick up around 25-40hp depending on what you do and how well their done.

Tale a look at the LE1 and LE2 setups. You can get the cam and head in a proven combo rather then just a HC kit. If you go the LE rout R/Rs are still a good idea and the cranes or GMPP fit the best with stock valve covers

What other kind of valvetrain parts do I need to buy with a Heads and Cam package? Does Lloyd Elliot have a website up yet?

Re: What should I do with my heads?

I'd recommend a timing chain. The stock one has a lot of slack. I'm in the same boat as you, just researching and finding out what i'd like to do. Want to keep the stock water pump but been reading that some of the Extreme duty kits been pulling teeth off of the water pump gear. So i'm trying to see where thats headed before i'm fully sold on it .
