Whta trans would a 93 formula automatic have? Is is the 4l60e? Summit lists two shift kits for 93 firebirds, on is for the 700-r4 other for the 4l60e. I assume its the 4l60e, but not sure about 93s as they seem to have different parts than 94s etc... What a good shift kit that gives me manual control but will still shift on its own if left in od? I had 3 6 speed cars, so the autos are very new to me in them.

 

93's have 700R4's, also known as 4L60's, not 4l60e's. The 4l60's and 4l60e's are basically the same tranny except the 4l60e is electronic and computer controlled. Thats about it. Can't go wrong with a transgo shift kit
