Exclamation What serpentine belt you LT1 guys using?

For some reason or another, the GM belt just is not cutting it for me. I have burned up four belts in the last two summers. By burned up I mean they squeak like a ****. It almost sounds like I have the dual belt mod.

I have inspected each one, and it seems that the valleys of the belt become glazed over. If you were to place the belt with the flat side on the table, and the groves facing up, the valleys of my belt are worn and glazed over, causing the horrible squealing at or around idle. It gets very annoying, and makes my car sould like a pile of goat ****.

So, after spending 38 dollars on each of those four GM ones, I am thinking there has to be something else out there.

Granted, I do have 440rwhp, and I do rev her up occasionally, but I think these belts should last alot longer then this!

Please note, I dont wind her up with the A/C on, so no insinuating of that! lol.

So, what do you guys use??

Thanks
Cody

Gates K060642. My belts have a tendency to "rip" on either of the outer
ribs (the last outer rib), before they get to a glazy stage. I've checked
alignment, so can't figure mine out. I get about 10k miles out of a belt.

You can get the goodyear belt at autozone. You can find the correct part number on their website.

lookin all over I finally found it on Advanced Auto's website. does part number 4060642 sound right? Its a 6 rib design that is 64.25 inches in length. It says it is for A/C.
Let me know if this is right!!
Thanks!
