Are you sure it is on the adapter and not on the block above the filter? That's where the oil pressure sensor is on 93s and early 94s.

No and no, My car is a 94. The oil filter adapter is what the filter screws on to (Adapter bolts to the block). It has a rubberized sheath over the entire sensor and is cylindrical.

i know what he's talking about, i have the same thing and i was wondering what it was too. except mine has like an aluminum heat shield on it.
