Yea i dont think that would work on our 93-97 lt1's. Looks like its made for a 3rd gen or something.

 

It's not for an LT1, it is a copy of an LT1 built for the older TPI engines with restrictive runners. They couldn't rev so that kept the HP down, so even if it fit your engine, you would not see the advertised 80 hp gain because you already have a similar manifold.

 

yeah, my buddy has one on his 87 T/A and it pretty much looks just like ours.

 

I question the gains of that intake alone. 75 horsepower for just an intake?

 

the tpi intake is so restrictive you will notice 50 hp

 

Ok, okay, I didn't realize there was such a gain to be found there. That should have probably been one of my first mods. then to my old third-gen.

This is not a new intake. It has been around as long as the LT1 intake has

Back in 97 I called and talked to them about getting one of there LT1 intakes(they used to make them for LT1s and LT4s) and they siad on a stock motor I would only gain 5hp...and the kit cost $1,400 or so to my door.

Need less to say I could not get excited about it and never got one. Today I wish I had one

I have a feeling they will start making the LT1/4 intakes again Supply and demand baby!
