What RWHP are you making with GM 847 and ported heads?

I did a search and only found a couple of results.

I was wondering how much RWHP you guys with GM 847s, ported heads (what cfm?), and tuning (who did the tuning?)were making. Also are you auto or stick?

I'm going to be experimenting with a Lloyd Elliott Heads and cam package. Its similar to the GM 847. I'll post before and after dyno vids.

Curious: What are the specs of that cam? With that RWHP the peak must be around 6500-6700?
Thx.

I had the 847 last year and it made 363rwhp on a mustang dyno... Ion (madz28.com)did all the tuning... We never hit peak power either we shut the car down at 6700-6800 rpms and the rwhp was still going up...Didn't want to chance it with a stock bottom end....

There's a guy on this board, his name is mike, i can't remember his screen name. he ran that cam in a 383 w/ AFR 195 heads, single plane intake, 3500 stall and 3.73 gears. It ran mid-low 7's in the 1/8 at 95+mph, and ran low 11's in the 1/4.

That's insane. I hope my car runs that good after I get it hooked and tuned.

Peak power for me is at 6400rpm but by 6800rpm its only down 7hp. I have a poorly made y-pipe, thats why. If I get it fixed I'm sure it will keep on going past 7000rpm

I have True Duals off Hooker LTs.

I'll be getting a chip from PCMforLess.

Its all in the tuning so we'll see how close they are on it.

I was impressed with it in my car (weights 3700 plus)I was hitting the rev limiter just about 6000 and got 2.2 60 foots and still ran 12.50s @ 112 + decimal points. everyone that seen me run said my bogging on the rev limiter was sucking at least 3 to 5 mph from me on the top. I was spinning so bad that my 1/8th miles were in the 8.3 range!!!

I think Ion (madwolf) has tuned a couple cars with the GM 847 and gotten good results.

Too bad MadWolf doesn't do 93s.
